This course examines the ethical obligations and professional standards that govern the legal profession. Designed to prepare students for real-world legal practice, the course explores the rules, principles, and dilemmas attorneys face while serving clients, the courts, and society at large. Topics include attorney-client privilege, confidentiality, conflicts of interest, competence, advertising and solicitation, responsibilities to the court, and duties to opposing counsel. Students will analyze the American Bar Association’s Model Rules of Professional Conduct, relevant case law, and disciplinary procedures that ensure accountability within the legal field. Through case studies and hypothetical scenarios, students will be challenged to think critically about the intersection of law, morality, and professional judgment. 🎓 Certificate Request Instructions – The Urban Law School To receive your official certificate of completion: 1.
