This foundational course introduces students to the essential skills of legal research, objective writing, and analytical reasoning required for effective legal communication. Focusing on the building blocks of legal analysis, students will learn how to identify legal issues, research primary and secondary sources, and apply law to facts in a clear and structured manner. Through practical assignments, students will gain experience drafting legal memoranda, using legal citation formats, and navigating online and print legal research tools.
